Throw up—- resign/ to vomit

Take down—- record/ write down

Keep up—-- maintain

Look forward to—- expect with pleasure

Make up—-- reconcile/ compose

Put forth—-- exert/ to propose/ offer

Put up with— tolerate

Run down—- an analysis or summary by a knowledgeable person—--- He gave his teammates a run down on the opposition.
